Macbeth creativity is underway

Wednesdays are our Macbeth days. We design, make, paint, sew, dance and act. Next term the pressure will be on as we work towards bringing 'Macbeth Beckenham Style' to the stage in the first week of December.

Such fun on the slopes

What a fabulous day we had on Mt Hutt, despite the nasty wind. Great to see such persistence, support of each other and making the most of a new opportunity.

Getting the basics sorted at our lessons.

Nice balance!

A perfect slice of pizza.

Feeling amped after the lesson.

Snowball fights were a fun way to wrap up a great day.

Cruising up the magic carpet.

So much confidence gained in just one day.

It's all go in week 7...

What a big week we are having in Kauri Whanau.

If you haven't read it yet, please check the post below on 'Greening the Rubble'.

We are enjoying catching up with everyone at conferences. If you have any feedback on this reporting process, please let us know.

A huge congratulations to Te Whanau Mahi Tahi; you were superb last night at the Cultural Festival. A very polished and entertaining performance.

Good luck to the Year 8s who are completing Year 9 testing at Cashmere this morning.

More best wishes go out to our two groups of chefs who are off to Timaru on Friday for the Maggi Kitchen Showdown competition.

We are just a week out from our ski trip and excitement is building in the hub. Today the Year 7s will be introduced to skis, boots and poles; a big thanks to our skiing families who have let us use their gear (on carpet!). We are in the process of matching up children who need to borrow gear with those who have gear to lend. This should be coming home on Monday.

Finally, a very big well done to all 16 of our speech finalists. Ruth Dyson was very impressed with all of the speeches. Yesterday was a most entertaining morning. Special congratulations to Pippa, Ella W, Oscar and Nathan who will be representing us at the zone speech competition next Thursday evening.

Thanks to Beth for her great photography!
